Jointly developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), ISO/IEC 42001 is the world’s first certifiable international standard dedicated to AI management systems. It systematically outlines requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continuously enhancing an AI governance framework, widely regarded as an "international passport" for enterprises competing in AI capabilities.
